Congratulations to the Brigidine College Randwick Class of 2024 on your outstanding Higher School Certificate (HSC) results!
Our school placed 67th in the state in the The Sydney Morning Herald rankings, making us the 2nd highest ranked school across Sydney Catholic Schools.
We recorded an impressive 150 Distinguished Achievers, five All Rounders and one Top Achiever—Emily Smith, who came second in the state in Business Studies and third in the state Studies of Religion II.
We had 60.5% of students achieve an ATAR above 85, together with four HSC Showcase Nominations and 45 VET qualifications attained across the cohort.
Principal Sharyn Quirk congratulated Year 12 and their teachers on their fantastic efforts.
“Their incredible work ethic and ability to keep seeking feedback in order to improve was impressive,” she said.
“The staff of Brigidine College are passionate and dedicated professionals. Their inspiration for, and motivation of, our students is what has allowed Brigidine College to maintain consistency in ranking over the past six years.”
SUCCESS ACROSS THE SYSTEM
Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) has achieved outstanding results in the 2024 HSC with 13 of its 33 secondary schools ranked among the top 150 high schools in NSW.
SCS recorded an impressive 2819 Distinguished Achievers, 42 Top Achievers and 45 All Rounders.
Notably, eight SCS students received HSC First in Course honours.
SCS students also completed 1,921 VET courses, and earned 280 HSC Showcase Nominations across the Creative and Performing Arts, and Technology and Applied Studies.

- 150 Distinguished Achievers – lists the students who achieved a result in the highest band (Band 6 or Band E4) for one or more courses, not including results for courses studied external to their school
- Five All Rounders – number of students scoring above 90 in at least 10 units
- One Top Achiever – students who achieved one of the highest places in a HSC course or optional exam and also achieved a result in the highest band
- 60.5% of students with an ATAR above 85
- Ranked 67th in the state
